Here’s an example of a Physiotherapy company with a team of Associate Physiotherapists.  The table below gives their name, where they are based and a telephone number.

So if you’re dealing with new enquiries from people asking for appointments, you would need to know where the Associate Physiotherapists are, to ascertain who is the nearest and whether they deal with adults or children.

How it Works

  • A new enquiry comes in from a Brain Injury Case Manager to the physiotherapy company to see if they have capacity to see a new client in West London.
  • You would look to see where the potential client lives via their post code and whether it is a child or an adult.
  • You would then look to see which Associate Physiotherapist is nearest to the potential client and ask if they have capacity to take on a new client.  Then ask them of their availability and any suggested dates they may have to carry out an initial assessment.
  • You would go back to the Brain Injury Case Manager confirming availability to carry out an initial assessment and ask if they are interested in going ahead.
  • Then send out the terms and conditions to the Brain Injury Case Manager and ask them to sign and send back.
  • Once T&C’s received and signed, go back to the Brain Injury Case Manager with the suggested dates and times the physiotherapist can attend the client to carry out the initial assessment.
  • The Brain Injury Case Manager may want to see a copy of the CV of the Associate Physiotherapist recommended, to confirm they have the right skills, experience and knowledge, along with seeing a copy of their enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Once the go ahead from the Brain Injury Case Manager has been received, you can book in the appointment with the Associate Physiotherapist and provide them with details about the client and their address.  You will also need to request copies of any reports available on the client to pass to the Associate Physiotherapist, for them to review before going out.
