This is a typical list of tasks you would carry out for a busy physiotherapy company that has a team of Associate Physiotherapists.
- Deal with new enquiries via the enquiries number from the therapy website – check availability in their area with a team member therapist.
- Keep database of clients and update their associated contacts.
- Phone, email and write to families/carers/schools regarding appointment visits.
- Organise horse riding lessons, hydro-pool visits for clients along with joint visits with the occupational therapist.
- Type activity reports over the telephone.
- Type and format reports, letters, tables, treatment programmes.
- Phone equipment companies to book demonstrations of walkers/standing frames/wheelchairs for clients.
- Place orders with equipment companies once authorisation has been sought by case manager/solicitor for funding/payment of equipment. Liaise with equipment provider regarding products, sizes, colours, prices and delivery dates.
- Liaise with Case Managers and multi-disciplinary team members where necessary.
- Liaise with Orthotist for specialist lycra suits/splints/boots/shoes.
- Send out terms & conditions to be signed by Case Manager/Receiver/Solicitor.
- Costings for treatment – take recommendations from the initial physiotherapy report and create future monthly costings for the Case Manager.
- Contact insurance provider – some clients have insurance policies such as Aviva insurance.
- Input business receipts onto spreadsheet for monthly accounts.
- Assist with CPD folder and timeline documentation.
- Update CV’s and deal with the Due Diligence Body for DBS checking.
- Update website with basic content changes.
